Reading a lot of poetry and writing poems helps to improve your craft. Look for new and interesting ways to express what you want to say. Try to write something every day, even if it is just a couple of lines. Listen until you find your inner voice - don't try to copy anyone else. And always try to upgrade and improve your poems. The secret of a good poem is constant revision. Your poem needs to stand out from all the others, so be bold and don't hide your talent in the shadows.
