Dramatic Monologue

Excuse me I'm talking

You are speaking to an implied audience. You can talk about yourself or someone else. You can be yourself or an historical character. Maximum 30 lines.

Sample:-

Henry, Oh Henry

I was not always distempered and fat;
in my youth I was swift like Adonis.
I wrestled with the best of them
pinning their bodies to the earthen track.

Some ungodly illness ails me,
my compulsion to eat overwhelms me -
not to quench hunger or thirst
but to smother my wretched loneliness.

For in truth I must have a son
so my lineage will be continued,
I am not a misogynist at heart -
my actions are painfully misunderstood.

Gerhardt Michael
